The Vrod sux. It teases you into thinking it will way more than its capable. runs out of power just when you think its got sum and no ground clearance to go with what might be an ok suspension.. Plus the front exhaust pipe burns the shit out of my leg.

If I wanted a cruiser I'd get one of those 3cyl Triumph Rockets. 147hp FTW!!!

I got there around noon on Saturday, and there was a rider down about a half mile from the campsite, but he wasn't in the demo group. I didn't hear anything about a demo rider going down, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I wanted to go to that, but I had some family obligations in Titusville. I REALLY wanted to ride the Superduke at Suches. TWO is awesome, I try to go every year, have you ever eaten at TWO? They have some damn good burgers.

I didn't eat, but I was tempted. Burgers looked great. Man, I'm telling you, it was hard as hell to get back on the SM after riding the SD. I'm looking under my sofa cushions for $8k, but I'm not having any luck.

Next time you go, you have to eat there, everything is really good, from the Burgers to the steaks to the salads. I'm hopefully heading up there in the spring, I'll post up, maybe you can come up and go for a ride.

Still keep the V-Rod on the demo list. The squids I've smoked with it didn't observe any handling problems. Yeah it can scrape a peg when leaned way over, but haven't come across many cruisers that don't. Have never noticed a heat problem from the headers. Have ridden the Triumph Rocket, and the torque is ungodly, but the thing is immense, and it weighs almost 200lbs more than the V-Rod. Besides, these are "cruisers" -- one tends to value factors other than just sheer power... there's bikes with a much better chassis to go fast on than a cruiser one.

I found out you had to be 25 for the Demo rides. I'm 24 so I guess it wouldn't have mattered.
