It was an internal clock error. Clock would try to go to feb. 29, and then reset back to 12/31/99... Its fixed, nothing serious.

yeah now imagine if it were an xbox and you had a three month wait for a repaired console vs a problem that lasted one day and FIXED ITSELF. or you could have been a smart guy like me and manually reset the cmos

As much as im not an xbox fan, everyone I know who had them repaired (and thats quite a few), had them back within 3 weeks.

still quite a bit longer than a day only thing im mad about is it self corrected before i had it reset and all the dust removed.
