I don't know how well you know the traffic over here... I'm still learning, but here are my thoughts. I'll be okay going up I95, but unless you hop off the turnpike and come down I476 (Like So) and then across I95, you're pretty well screwed coming from Harrisburg area. I676 across the city is always hell. I76 down the west side is iffy. Some days it's smooth sailing, others it absolutely sucks. http://www.broadstreetrun.com/site3.aspx Google Map of Course

Here's an idea I picked up at Seneca today. French Creek Outfitters in Phoenixville has an indoor range. Open Sunday 10am-5pm.
Seneca seemed cool. They even had the twin to my dad's Marlin .30-30. They said French Creek would rent and give me a chance to shoot a few different guns I've been looking at. The Beretta feels about perfect in my hand, and I like the weight (unloaded). The XDM feels slightly awkward and silly light and to point it feels odd. Glock's just all wrong, but I'll give it a shot. 9mm is probably the way I'll go- 'cause it's cheap! And I want to shoot. $15 a box compared to $30+ for anything else they had (except .22). I476 is the most direct route, but I'm sure we can cobble something together that's more interesting. http://www.frenchcreekoutfitters.com...stol-range.htm
