I actually got lucky and got grandfathered into the old rules. Now your major has to pertain to advancing at HD and you have to work 40 hours a week. I get the full amount of money but I only have to work 8 hours a week (I usually am close to 30 anyway) and my major is criminal justice. Cant complain.

My buddy and I were talking about the market stuff today. I have a very small understanding of how the stock market works. My best guess is you basically give money to a company and say "Hey use this money to make more money". And when/if they do you get a reward for your investment. But it seems like a lot of this stuff is almost a self-fulfilling prophecy. Because people started screaming "The sky is falling" and yanking their money out of everything it did create a crisis. I'm betting if people just chilled we'd be a lot better off. Of course I know very little about HOW the economy works but I'm failry keen on I guess the "Theory" of how economics work.

I am in grad school for mechanical engineering, trying to finish up my research and thesis so I can start my life.
I have been studying acoustics and my research is in developing a diagnostic instrument for two-phase flows (read: bubbly liquids), more specifically, liquid mercury and helium gas. I am currently in the process of moving all my experiments to a different lab in the building in order to use a chemical hood so I can start using liquid mercury. I have finished all my validation tests with water and am now ready for the real/final tests. After I do some tests here, I will be taking the whole setup to the government lab that is paying us to do the research and implementing it into their facility.

Baggage Handler at CVG. We're downsizing at a rapid pace so I don't know how much longer I'll be there. Pay is shit and working outside in the winter blows but I've flown first class, for free to Russia, Poland, France, Spain and Ireland. And several cross country tips too.

I am a loan officer for a state chartered community bank. I do it all from taking loan applications of mortgage, auto, small business, personal loans, process approvals and denials, close loans, collect bad loans, maintain insurance coverage, report to management on the administration of the loan portfolio.
Over the last 15 years I have managed portfolio's from 1200 loans to 300 loans with outstanding debts of $1 million to $30 million. (Doesn't sound like all that much that is a ton of consumer type loans). I am not on commission and the pay isn't what you might think, but there are perks (like being able to surf the net all day), flex scheduling, free coffee...Oh and I have the most beautiful secretary...

I am a Commercial Property Manager by day which = shopping center landlord. I wear many hats and have a pretty cool job. Pay could be better, but its flexible for me. If i want to work inside, i use my office, if I want out, I go outside and play on my properties. I climb on roofs, into tiny holes, play in A/C units, work on plumbing, landscape coordinate, and the list goes on.
By night I am a bartender at a local club, I work my rear off for tips, get hit on, fend off drunk people and dance like a retard while making decent cash to make ends meet. |

I'm a male escort, I work the corner of Murfreesboro and Spenc lane most evenings. I take Male clients mostly and some transvestites on ocassion. I try to make them use condoms but most don't give a fuck. I have been raped and robbed (at the same time) and find my job to be very fulfilling!
Come on down and drive slow, I'm sure to run up to your car and ask if you are looking for a good time. And yes this thread is a lame attempt to boost your ego folks...
