I agree, Woodcraft FTW! No-cuts are the devil.

Tigger also depends on how the frame is... ya know... it may be easier to make the slider sturdy on yours and it be a no cut... but for the R6 it may require it to be a bit weaker to allow the no cut.

Okay, okay actually CEO turned me on to this method,I've never had to cut my fairing to install sliders(didn't realize until after buying Harris no cuts. GSXR1000s can use regular frame sliders without cutting anything. At most you may need to trim the plastic back a 1/4 or so. For what it's worth,I'd go with Woodcrafts too! In fact, while I was checking for your bike I put in a $50 bid on a set! |

You know the cons and you have the skills to do it right with the direct bolt slider. Small price to pay to leave on bike when sold vs. other possibility's.

The problem is not only that they break off, they also rotate. And no matter how beefy the bracket is, it wont prevent the bracket from rotating. I had a set of no-cuts and they both rotated AND broke, which cracked and then rashed my plastics. I hope those work better for you than mine did for me.
