 I'm not into the lights enough myself to go through that much work. I put our lights up in about 2 hours and don't have any interest to do any more. lol

we are starting our christmas lighting tradition, it may end this yr at 4 hours on our high pitched slope roof........and Z's stupid icicle lights.
looks hodge podge this yr being the 1st yr and all, but we plan to buy more after the seasons over. and i plan to get 1 of those musical timed light boxes

Don't waste your money on those boxes like "GE Lights and Sounds", either build yourself or buy the real thing like a Light-o-rama box. Otherwise you are throwing your money away on cheap crap. I could program my house to Bad Religion or do a rick roll if I wanted, it's totally customizable unlike the GE box which makes you play their sequences and music.
