Create jobs by investing in infrastructure and R&D........
Prevent companies who accept bailouts from importing foreign workers..... These 2 things will help a lot more than any of these hair-brained rebate programs. Last edited by Homeslice; 02-03-2009 at 03:34 PM.. |

1. Who would part with a running (ancient or not) older car for about what sales tax would run on the new one.
2. Who would trade a good ole clunker car for a "fuel efficient" 25% better than CAFE standards car. Is Bubba gonna let that 78 chevy v8 go so he can drive a Prius? 3. Most folks driving a junker/clunker do so because they can't afford hi payments and insurance. How the hell would the voucher help their cash flow or credit situations? 4. Politicians are raving martini filled idiots with too much interest in page boys to know what the hell is good for the enviromnment or the economy...

I'd gladly trade my gas guzzler in for above market value and reaplace it with something more fuel efficient, for the ol' lady.
I'd then take her fuel efficient Honda and trade it for a diesel guzzler for me. GOBAMA! |
