I suppose you could make rep like currency. You have to earn rep by posting and contirbuting (or outright buy it) then as you give it it comes out of your stash and not from a magic unlimited supply rep fairy...Maybe even limit the amount of rep you could give in a single hour/day/week?

Suppose earning rep for each post might make for a new run of random postwhoring

Perhaps a limit on how much you could earn per day would be advisable as well. That way it is kind of a valuable commodity. You would really have to think wisely before passing out your hard earned rep.

Of course I do know, just as in real society, Nee, Rae, It girl, and Katherine would end up with it all...

you'd only have to monitor it if someone went ape shit and gave someone 100 reps... ya know

it's not a big deal though... I could care less if it came back... just throw'n out ideas to make it work if it did
