But the AK is a semi-auto that can run full-auto, right? I believe her point was that this weapon was a bit extreme for home defense. Everyone will have their own opinion but I believe that was hers.

if it runs full auto then you have to have a class 3 to own it. they are giving away vouchers for the semi auto model.

The AK-47 can only run full auto if its illegally modified, or if you purchased it that way with an FFL. Its been vilified by the media and anti-gun group in much the same way Pit-Bulls, Swine Flu, and Crotch Rockets have been, and she's playing off that to make this guy look like an idiot redneck.

It makes a good home defense weapon depending on your living situation as it is extremely reliable, powerful and user friendly.

Otherwise its just about the best all around gun ever made, but cuntasaurus doesn't know that.

Thanks for the info. I stopped paying attention to guns in my early teen for some reason. Haven't fired a rifle since leaving Air Cadets in grade 7 I think which was a lonnnnng time ago.

I think an AK is a fine home defense rifle, semi auto or full. for close range, its just as lethal as the .22 or 12 gauge.
