I heard about it from a guy on the ZX10 forum, apparently one in the group. Bottom line is when passing, cars, bikes, whatever you take a chance on the vahicle in front doing something unexpexted...When you pass multiples the odds go up exponentially as those way in front have no idea what is taking place behind and you cannot know their intentions until you reach visual, which usually takes place at elevated speeds (you all know how fast a bike will accelerate in just a few car lengths).

Just be patient and pass one at a time!

What a sad thing. Regardless of how foolish he may have been, we've lost a fellow rider. Passing cars terrify me for this very reason...RIP rider.

we had a guy have a close call this last weekend, i was leading a pack of 4... two r1's right on my ass and pc back a ways... a good ways

there was a long uphill striaght, i made the pass on a truck pulling a toy hauler, i made it fine, the second guy made it fine, the third guy ran it close because as the reared the top another truck came from the oppisite way as he passed the truck, he said he felt his exhuast on the side of the trailor as he went by.

when we got to the end of the run, we got a kick out of my knee scuffs on the textils, and discussed how stupid the pass was...

this is exactly what was running through my head when we were riding in AR... all those bikes that wouldn't let us pass them individually...
