I don't think so. It all has to do with the hair trigger point made earlier. With the DA there is less likely a chance that there will be an accidental discharge. And those that have it should practice regularly to maintain the strength in the finger to pull it every time.

How so? I keep my cocked and ready to fire.
I like my glock 23 for a carry weapon 6 lb pull and trigger safety. Remember Hoot from Black Hawk Down? I feel the same way my finger is my safety never even touches the trigger till ready to pull.

sig p230 is very smooth without many sharp edges, and with the decocker activated, the hammer would be almost all the way down.

My Keltec is that way. When you have no other safety it works fine for a carry weapon. The only thing you need is range time with it and it won't bother you.

I have tried a couple of the DAO and can hit with them.. I simply hit better with the DA/SA or SA only handguns.
My one exception I have a Performance center S7W Model 29 V Comp. The double action trigger there is butter smooth and very very read-able

Cops may have to suffer because of stupid departmental policies vis-a-vis accidental discharges (DAO), but I don't have to put up with that shit.

I want the capability to go SA for that accurate shot if need be.
