Media Center Computer FTW. Build a cheap tower, hook it up to your flatscreen, wireless keyboard and mouse and your set. All you need to do is run your other stuff through the TV itself unless you're short HDMI inputs, then you can get a switchbox.

Same here. I have a release model. It went to Iraq with me as well and somehow still works.

Yea, I've considered that. We build towers for security systems all the time... I'd probably spend $3-400 though... More than a PS3.

Does it annoy anyone else that on some games it takes nearly an hour to start playing because it wants to load a large amount of the game on your harddrive?

Yeah, but you can do all kinds of crap with this route and keep building your options. I like mine better than my 360. I took my old tower when I bought the iMac and did this. It's definitely worth the money. Slap a blu ray player and a tuner card on it (PVR on your free basic) and make it a share drive for your laptops and you can't beat that.

Assassins creed as well. Whats funny is the only games I have for PS3 is MGS4, GT5, Killzone 2, and Assassins Creed. So 3/4 of my library required me to wait an hour to play the game initially.
