Been some really shitty weather here lately, but that hasn't stopped me. I just collect more "you're nuts" looks than usual. To them I say, "I'm paying $20 a week for gas. How's that $70 feel?"

I'm not riding in shitty weather...but the gas savings are nice.

I just paid $14 to fill my R1 up. That will last me about a week and a half

...and when do you ride?

If I only commute, a tank of gas in the bike lasts me 3-4 days. If I ride for the hell of it, not even that. And I'll bet my little 650 gets a lot better mileage.

Um, I ride every day, unless there is a 50% chance of rain or higher. My commute to work is probably just shorter then yours.

Lets see, I got my R1 in March with 7350 miles on it. It's the end of May and I have 10,500 on it now. So i'd say i'm doing plenty of riding, both to work and for fun.

What kind of mileage do you get? I just filled mine today- 189.5 miles on 3.582 gallons. 52.9 mpg!

Nice. I don't get anywhere near that good. I'm actually tracking my mileage right now. I just filled up this morning. I want to see how many miles per tank I actually get.
