That's what I was wondering too.

In Ontario everyone has to have a BScN.

its not so much what they have ot have, but laws may vary in each state and even the facility as to what they will use or not use.

Uh.. probably. It's a licensed practical nurse. They can work with RN's but can't give meds in Acute Care areas. Chronic care areas like nursing homes and some floors in hospitals they can (where patients are stable). But their scope of practice is limited to more physical endeavors.

We dont really have personal care workers/nurses aids in our hospitals. They are in more nursing home kinda places. It's RN's with degrees across the country. I don't believe there are any 2 year programs left. They were all phased out in 2000.
