Yeah, the new slim Xboxes are super quiet. I bought a 250 the week they came out, no problems yet.

Have they finally figured out how to put off the shelf harddrives in the plug in enclosure without microsoft freaking out and banning your console?

I don't know, but you could just plug one into one of the 5 USB ports.. it allows use of external hard drives of any make.

for all the same functions as the internal hd? Don't get me wrong I have at least three external hds dedicated to my ps3 but that didn't stop me from stuffing a 500gig in her

As far as I know, I haven't tried installing games onto an external because I still have plenty of internal space, but it gives you the option to save or transfer anything to the "external device" plugged in.

Didnt know they were banning people using 2.5" hdds. Ive watchrd youtu e vids were people just slap one in and use what ever to support it since its out of case.
