I was thinking of both, I get tired of hearing both sides. It's a pretty good article on it's own merit with all the tech involved.

The "Go Sit in the Corner" is a smilie on this fucking forum. Am I in trouble for using the forum's smilies now? Quote:
You think people don't notice the favoritism in how this is always seemingly handled? [insert appropriate forum smilie here]

I always jump on the religious side because it's mostly religious attacks on this forum and not atheism attacks. You know I don't see religious people getting all pissed off when I want to ban religion from this forum. I am not banning scientific articles like this one, just banning religious threads or discussions. This would have no effect on you since you aren't religious, you don't have any need to talk about it. You can still talk about the scientific merits of articles like this and just totally not discuss religion period. No need to belittle the members here because of their beliefs or other people of the world. Hell you should welcome such a board. It would be completely religion free.

Good, I thought I was in trouble for talking about science here.
All I've done in this thread is post about, and then have to defend science. I've attacked no one's anything.

honestly, recreating a big bang scenario in a particle accelerator is a rather impressive thing to me. now, what the hell are they going to use what they learned from it for? THAT is the thing I'm concerned with.

You need to understand that the big bang theory isn't science. It is simply a theory to explain a missing link. A theory without a proof is pretty worthless.
Now this does not validate the religous belief at all, so don't get ur panties in a wad.

I agree. The levels to which they're taking theoretical science to practical science, these, days, are truly impressive.

I second this one. I know LOTS of money was spent to fund this research. Now what can we do with it...I know some of it gets the hush hush for military and national security but how can this make our lives better now!
