It's not that fancy really. I wanted to tip toe in the pool before I jump all the way in. It is much nicer then my big box store hybrid that I have been riding. this weekend it goes for it's first organized ride. hoping to get into some timed races next season.

she has made my nightly rides much nicer that's for sure.
Just be careful on the group ride...just like on the motorcycle, there can be some idiots out there. Obviously the speeds aren't as high...but hitting the pavement at 20 - 25 with nothing but spandex can hurt. Be safe...have fun, I know I'm addicted to cycling.

That's what I have...Diamondback from Dick's.

I also have an old Trek 1200 that's just collecting dust.

Come to think of it both of my bikes are just collecting dust.

Hey, you been peeking in my garage? My hybrid is indeed a Diamondback. LOL

I did one group ride with the hybrid, it was fun first one I had done. definitely some "interesting" ride styles out there. First rule for me from that ride was beware old men who think they can still see and judge distance.

No spandex for me. ok it's there under my baggy shorts

I walked into a LBS with my GF and showed her a nice Triathlon bike (I think specialized) for only $8900. I skeeted all over it so now it's only worth $8899.

I fucking hate group rides though. Road Cyclists are the biggest bunch of bike snobs I have ever met. Say "I do triathlons" and they freeze up and their thongs get in a wad. Luckily I stick to mainly solo rides or triathlons in which drafting is illegal so you don't have to worry about the road snobs.

Many remind me of this guy...

Still though have fun with your bike.

You could "shave" about 0.0000000000000198 seconds off your time if you shave them. It reduces weight and drag.
