Now I am jealous I am appy with a 2 car attatched garage so at least now the bikes wont be exposed to the elements anymore and I can work on them in relative comfort in the winter which is a huge plus. nothing worse then spinning wrenches when its 30 degrees out.

I am at a loss for a garage, so my bike is locked to the support beam of the carport with a cover over it and my dad's pickup kind of blocking it in. If I leave anywhere for a long period of time it goes to the grandparent's house where it is garaged.

My bikes stay in the garage. If I had a bike that sat outside it would have a decent cover on it though.

The bus has never spent a night outside, but the old VTR spent two summers outside, and the worst thing for it wasn't the rain, it was the sun. the sun faded all of the controls and master cylinders. it was crazy

that's what cracks me up about people saying "never seen rain"

down here it's the sea air... if I don't ride for two days in a row (very rare) my rotor will have surface rust.

i have a very nice 3 1/2 car garage where the nsx, 240z, 450, hawk, and the fireblade all call home. Its a little cramped but it works well for my needs

I thought of this question because there's a guy that lives about a 1 mile from me with a 09 R1 and it sits outside 24/7 uncovered, he has no garage, shed, or even a tarp/cover for it. Not that it would kill it but to me it's bike abuse lol.

My first and second bikes stayed outside all the time, and they didn't fare that well.

My last two bikes have been garage-kept from birth, and they did/are doing much better. I put 30k+ miles & 14 track days on my gsxr600 in 2.5 years and it looked brand new when I traded it in.
