Here's a thought, if you're in the program working, maybe one of the details you draw is working in a daycare (under supervision.) Maybe you'll be driving a bus. We're already giving these people money, so involving them in providing service isn't too much of a stretch.

Considering that most people arent qualified to do pro bono legal work or volunteer at a free clinic all they have available to them is either manual labor or maybe some type of social work like visiting the elderly.

I pay for that shit out of my taxes. I'm not taking "handouts" (if I were collecting unemployment) anymore than me getting a "handout" from the insurance company if my car is involved in an accident.

The only thing with that is that many people on public assistance are working and have families so if you tie it in with community service it has to be on a case by case basis.
