they never ran a 995... it was 500 then 990 then 800

He mentioned the 990, 5-cyclinder RC211V. You heard it wrong.

yeah I heard 500 Honda, 990 Honda RC211V, 990 Yamaha M1, and 800 Yamaha M1.

His exact words were "990, 5-cylinder Honda". I could see how he took it as 995.
