Handle every stressful situation like a DOG: If you can't eat it or hump it, pi$$ on it & walk away.

both of ours were like that - the 4 year old can finally come into a room do a few circles and then sit and watch rather than weave in between my legs endlessly. Makes for a much nicer time than me scolding him when I trip and hit the ground.

Hey wildchild, btw, if you want her to be in chill mode in the house before she gets to be older just give her a job to do in addition to your nightly walk. I live in an apt with my three dogs....if they acted hyper indoors I'd have to cut their heads off! I let them wrestle every once and a while but they are not allowed to run around and get under my feet. Even with company over they are very calm inside...jethro has been that way since he was 1 year old.
