You still have plenty of tire left. I didn't make it. One of my buddies that went had his first ever track get-off in the second session. It was minor but it ended his day. What kind of times are you running up there?

Damn, I hope he was okay. I'd like to say that I could recall, but there were so many getoffs this weekend its a wonder we had full sessions. No helicopter rides Sunday tho, so thats good.
In that pic, I do have plenty of room, here's one showing a bit less: Im running consistently in the 1:38-1:42 range, but obviously much slower when hitting traffic. I feel like I am ALMOST ready to bump up, but I'll wait till the track manager tells me to go for it. He's the one that helps me with my timing and he'll let me know. I really need to work on shifting to higher gears to get alot more speed in the straight aways too. The CR's told me they cant help me with my lines or body position but they had me experimenting with later braking, and I could definitely see the difference... |

Looks like you are running really wide in that pic, I don't know if you are setting up for the next corner, but there is a lot of inside real estate there from the looks of the tire marks.
As far as body position, you are so little, I don't know how much weight you can really shift to make a difference in lean. What tires are you running? Go with a stickier compound if those are starting to slide at that angle.

Nah, take a look at the tire marks, its a set up for the next corner. Tho I think I could cut it a lil tighter. That particular area is like pinball. swing in tight, then to the outside, back in and out again...I follow the meatballs religiously. |

I think I was possessed. I seriously dont know what happened but it was like I never left and my confidence was scaring me. I had to ask a buddy if I was doing something wrong. I thought the better I got, the less knee draggin I would be doing, but my racer buddies said I look like a kickstand with my long legs and that its ok. I'll just burn more plastic.
EDIT: And like I've mentioned in other threads, I practice my style on the street too, its just much more comfortable taking a turn with proper body positioning even on the street. I think that helps me alot. You should come visit, theres not enough women out there! |

That is a lot of lean. Is that T11? My friend was fine. Bruised and a broken pinkie but nothing major.
