Yeah. Cuz a 5-6 year old is going to jump on an adult and attempt to strangle them. Riiiiight. I know there are some tough kids out there, and crazy ones too, but any teacher who automatically assumes the kid will do wrong with the lessons and cant applaud their student for an accomplishment like that shouldnt be teaching. Just saying.

I cant believe that of all places, this is happening in Texas. It's embarassing.

@ AMJ. Truth.

Texas isn't all its cracked up to be freedom-wise. There are some great things about it...but here, as with everyone else, there is a severe lack of logical thought.

Home school kids are fucking weird, you need some social interaction with your own peers in an educational environment.

I agree...its why I'm going back and forth over this. 1-hour a night in Jiu Jitsu or soccer or football or whatever isn't going to be enough.

Depends on the school district. The public schools my kids go to get far better marks than ANY other private school in the area. The only reason to have your kid go private here is you are either extremely religious or your kids have no coping skills and need constant attention from the staff. Class sizes in private school are smaller but where my kids go, only 23 kids max per class so it isn't bad.

Tigger can tell you, the school district my kids are in is pretty much like a private school but without the religious teachings and the tuition but you pretty much pay a high tuition anyway in the form of high property taxes.

I know exactly what type of public school your kid goes to, because I got placed in one of those by my parents. It's not what it's cracked up to be, but the keeping up with the jones' parents sure cream their pants about them.

Every city has that one school district you can find the worst human beings on earth, it's called Farragut in Knoxville.
