Just a few weeks ago my father and I ran into a pack of the bastards taking up the entire lane of a 45 mph road. We were stuck behind them for at least 15 minutes. If they felt they had to travel on the road the very least they could have done was double up or single file. Dunno about SC, but most places it's illegal to ride on the sidewalk.

In Toronto, it's illegal to ride on the sidewalk if your bike's wheels are above a certain size (16", I believe). This, of course, does nothing to stop idiots on stunt bikes or ebikes from riding there.

In the Province of Ontario, the centre line isn't a regulatory device. It doesn't matter what colour it is or if it's a single, or double line. There are many places where municipalities try to use a solid or double solid line, to stop passing, where you can see for a Kilometre or more in either direction and where there are no intersections/driveways.
