Better sell the motorcycle.
I see a couple Yarii (3 dr configuration) in the train station parking lot.
It is what it is...
I'd rock an Echo or a Yaris as a station car.

Oil seems to be a big peer pressure thing. Same goes for 3,000 mile oil changes. They are a waste of money for the vast majority of people. It depends on your driving conditions, distance, weather, etc. If all you do is highway long trips, you're fine with 7,500 mile changes. Short trips on the other hand.......

But whatever makes people feel good.
The funny thing is that you can get 5qts of Mobil 1 at Wallyworld for 21 bucks, but if you buy 5 individual quarts of dino oil it is 3.49 each.

I think what you felt is the "I spent an additional 20 bucks on oil, so in order to justfiy my purchase I have to force myself to feel better".

Okay, you all got me. Syn does not have more friction reducing properties than dino, despite all the studies and dyno runs that say it does.

Was the oil weight the same on the bike? And the 1mpg was prolly because of difference in the drive cycles.

The more slippy you speak of is because of an additive, not the actual base stock oil. That additive can easily be added to dino oil as well. Castrol uses it, but not sure about others.

I use full syn myself so I can go longer between changes.

Fuck individual quarts. How much for a 5-qt of dino oil? Bet you can get a 5 qt of Supertech for only $8

Nah...it's like 13 bucks I think. I heard Supertech filters are decent, but I don't know if I would trust the oil.
