I'm partial to the under tail exhaust years. Probably 07/08 being my favorite.

All hideous... Especially the RC30.

And just to explain a bit more. Skinny tires, right side up forks, hideous paint, squared off oversized fairings are just a few reasons I don't like their appearance.

Hmm, I guess I'm the opposite. I like fuel tanks and cowls that are squared off and parallel to the ground, because I think it makes the bike look longer & sleeker. Most of today's bikes look too short.

I lied. I do like the 96 zx7r. But, only because it has USD forks and non round front headlights.

The ZX7R is much more collectible (and expensive) with it's aluminum gas tank, close-ratio trans, flat-slide carbs, adjustable swingarm pivot, etc., but the ZX7 is a better streetbike.

The weird thing is that I happen to have the August, 1990 issue of Cycle (RIP) magazine in front of me. I have it out because they tested the CBR1000F. But they also tested the RC30, ZX7, and GSXR750. The ZX needed carb, suspension, and seat work. The RC had the best handling, but very tall gearing. They preferred the Gixxer overall.

The magazine also tested the VFR750, Ninja 750R, and 750 Katana. They said the VFR was a generation ahead of the Katana, and two generations ahead of the Ninja. The ZX7 for sale in Denver looks just like a ZX7R, and it would be easy to shim the carb needles, and add an aftermarket shock and seat.

I've always been a fan of Kawi green...especially the old green.
