Odds are that your browser was remembering the wrong password. If you log off and clear your stored passwords, then log back in, you'll likely never have the problem again.

I know I've been MIA lately!! To be honest, I spend so much time on my computer at work and for work after hours, i've been a little less inclined to "play" on the internet. I am in fact currently online doing work looking for ideas for the user forum my company is creating for one of our products. I got a big fat raise after only 6 months on the job though, so I can't complain too much.

Actually, it apparently has something to do with whether or not I check "remember me" because when I logged in last time and could get to my user CP, I had checked that. This time when I logged in, I didn't, and I couldn't get to it again until I did. Could that be related to my browser settings?

From that it sounds like it has something to do with what I mentioned; stored passwords. The "remember me" box likely stores the password in a file on your computer called a "cookie", so that you don't have to type it in each time. The saved password could be different from the one that you think is your password here. Try changing your password in usercp to the one you think it should be.
