Seems like track only now...........between Leon and I, we have 1 streetbike ATM, and 2 track sluts.

His tank of a 1k is the streetbike.

It's a horrible addiction.

I'll ride anything if you throw me the keys. Well, except for that ape-hanger crap, I don't understand that.

I've met very few bikes I don't like....

I prefer touring... on or off road... preferably without time constraints

I want to tour as well and I'm looking at a sport touring bike, I'm trying to wait so that I can also keep the CBR but I could get it quicker if I got rid of it. Decisions-decisions, I'm considering a Yamaha FJR 1300, BMW K1200 or 1300 perhaps a busa modified for more comfort, kawasaki concourse, honda st 1300, something within that family bikes

not to sound Bias... but look at dual sports... you don't have to worry so much about road conditions... and don't have to ALWAYS detour

but then again... can't hit triple digits as easy

Or at all.

Anyway, thats a good selection of sport touring bikes and straight touring bikes. So0me of the bigger dualsports would probably fit into your range too, the larger GS's, Triumph tiger, KTM 990's, all are comfy and have plenty of power on tap

I was reminded today why I've never owned a cruiser. A buddy from work bought a VTX1300 last week, but he doesn't have his endorsement (because he hasn't ridden since the late 80's). He asked me to ride it 80-ish miles from the dealer to his house.

Dog slow, brakes felt like wood, handled like a waterbed, vibrations put my hands to sleep, seating position made my ass hurt, etc. Once I made the necessary mental adjustments, however, I started enjoying myself nonetheless. Surefire way to make yourself feel like a GP hero, though: jump straight onto your sportbike after a morning aboard a big twin. My Triumph has never felt so fast, light, and smooth...

Yeah but the VTX is a bland ride. My BIL use to own one... it was blah... like most metric cruisers of that stature.
