well, thats two plants that have tripped early going into their outage. Fermi 2 did the same thing only we tripped about 10 hours earlier than we wanted to manually scram.
Now we are being plagued with all sorts of issues that are small in nature but are starting to really pile up. Seems like we will never get out of this outage. we are like 180 hrs behind schedule and not getting any better. We replaced two pump motors one for our Heater feed pump and one for our N. Main condenser pump. the mechanics installing the HFP ^ are real genius's let me tell ya. They put on the coupler while it was off the stand as there was more room and easier to get to so when they were lining up the couplers for the pump they used a tool to align the two halves of the coupling. Bar is approx. 10-12 inches long 2.5 inches wide and about 1/2 thick with two 3 inch bolts that pass through the two halves. thing must weigh at least 2-3 lbs. when the ran the motor for vibes uncuopled to the pump they couldn't figure out why the vibes were at near the no use limit of .60 mils deflection with a reading of .58 mils deflection during the test. Well, duh, you left the alignment bar attached which is off center caused major vibration issues. who woulda thought? well, lets try it without the alignment tool and see how she goes. Yeah, vibe readings went down to .08 mil deflection, which will prolly go down even more once coupled with the pump. MORONS. Well more to follow got to get out there and do my rounds. I actually have field work I have to do. be on later

I'll be here with ya.
I worked my two 12's over the weekend, but tonight and tomorrow are my usual 11p-7a. Plus, starting at the end of this month and carrying on until January, they're requesting extra coverage for the weekend. Our nodal market system is going live and they figure we'll be fielding a lot of MP calls.
