My father recently got a 4 stroke Honda. He had a 2 stroke Stihl that was not running well at all. He said if I could fix it, I could have it. So I took a screw driver and smashed it through the spark arrestor with an old Brake Rotor he had laying there.
I've got myself a nice Stihl Trimmer now

I kid of course. With 2-strokes, simple is better. I'm taking all of this in as I will be needing bigger and better lawn equipment soon. It'll need to take care of a crapload of tall grass and the thick stuff that grows in swampy areas.

Hmmmm, wonder who that guy could be????? LOL
Yeah, I hated my Ryobi with a passion and it pissed me off for the last time about two summers ago and last year I bought the Stihl. That thing is great. Little rough to start every now and then but mostly a three puller.

I swore off 2 strokes forever as a lawn tool.
I have the 4 stroke Craftsman now and haven't looked back...I love the fact that it doesn't feed line too. Much more convenient to just cut 2 or 3 pieces from the roll....put a couple in my pocket...and go to work. If/when the one in the machine wears out, take one from my pocket it and thread it into the head...takes 2 or 3 seconds and you don't even have to shut down to do it. |

The feed head thing is a major pain in the ass. The fucking things never work right. Last year I bolted up a used 10" chop saw blade, which worked great, but was a tad..... hazardous. JC

Yes, they work much better for that little "Saw" scene that you might want to act out.

I bought a nice Echo 2 stroke, has diff attachments for blowers, limb cutters, n stuff like that, weed whacker works great, I barely need to get it passed idle.
For those that have 4 strokes.. How do you edge with them? I typically hold it upside down, wouldn't it be like doing a wheelie for your weed whacker's motor? lol
