My favorite is to mix the mashed potatoes and corn. A lot of times, cut the meat up all before hand so I can get some of my mashed tater/corn on the fork then get a piece of the meat also, all in one bite. Greatest thing EVER. Turkey, mashed potato and corn on rolls at thanksgiving is my favorite.

That is the only thing that bugs me.

Don't get me wrong, I grin and bear it, but with certain people I have to be sitting far away because I just can't take it. It's not just how they eat what's on their plate, but some people are disgusting pigs with no manners when it comes to chewing.

When I was a little kid, I was a genius. I had this idea to make a plate where the one side was taller than the other so you could put your veggies or whatever on the low side and your steak on the high side so the veggie juice wouldn't get all up in the main course.

I'm closer to this - though, now that I've realized it I'm "better." My youngest used to freak out when her food all touched. Well, until we got her a special plate and made fun of her for it... it's what parents are for.

I hear ya. I feel like a snob but, seriously, is it that hard to chew with your mouth closed?

When I was a kid, I used to put all the Lima beans in my mouth at once, excuse myself to the bathroom, and spit them in the toilet.

I still hate Lima beans.

I'm with the eat one thing at a time crowd for the most part. The one exception is burger/steak with fries at home. In a restaurant I eat them separately. I don't know why I do this and I'm apparently not introspective enough to care.

I usually also go with the eat the sides first plan. I prefer to eat the "filler" first and then savor the main attraction.
