Seriously, humans are becoming more inner-focused and couch-bound. They would rather keep their eyes glued to their smartphones and video games than go out and experience reality. If a transportation device is invented that could take them where they want to go without any involvement, they'll gladly accept it.

My standard answer applies: I support people's right to not wear a helmet, if the mood takes them. After all, I might need a kidney some day.

If someone doesn't wear a helmet and are more likely to get killed shouldn't insurance premiums go down? Insurance companies don't pay dead people do they?

But if you don't wear a helmet then whomever you cost money to (hospital, people you hit, etc) should be able to reposes whatever it is you own.
