I too had serious weather related outages some years back with both dish based TV providers (even with 90+ signal in dry). If I wasn't, er, testing, I'd have been pissed.

$30 a month At&t DSL and $13 a month netflix and maybe blockbuster is better that $80 bucks a month for cable internet.

I haven't had cable for 7 months now. I couldn't go to fire school and pay for cable as well. I hate it. I should have cable set up again in a few weeks. If I had hair I would pull it out.
