I downloaded a German audio book from the library's website to my MP3, then I could listen on my way to school or wherever. Maybe you could do the same. It was free, just need to have a library card.
It's not as effective for me since I'm a visual learner but I still picked up on things by listening.

They have that stuff at the library? I haven't been at the library in over 15 years....may have to get a library card.

I am trying to pick up some spanish too.

Actually I would like to practice my chinese with someone too, since I am losing it. I have no one to speak to. Anyone hear speak Cantonese

Yep. I found the local library's website and then found the language I wanted. I put it on my MP3 and it's still there, that was in 2007 or so when I was still in school. I'd listen on the way to and from school since it was a 40 minute drive one way. I figured I may as well use the time constructively. My issue was that I heard something different than what was actually written and also retained very little because I couldn't see the words. I learned some but not much and I wasn't very diligent with practicing it either. I have plenty of Germans around at work but never "brave" enough to try it out with them.

Not sure if this is your local library as I just did a search for "Las Vegas Library", but here ya go - http://ebooks.lvccld.org/CBD384C8-D7...A-1A61B67BE532
