Stephen King books are always great
yeah looking for Angels & Demons and Deception Point

I've already read/listened to all the Harry Potters... very good books.

and I loved Stephen Kings' Dream Catchers... I'll be looking through a lot of his stuff

The only audio book I've ever listened to was Good to Great by Jim Collins... It's about how to take a company from good to great and deals a lot with leadership... My boss gave it to me... Honestly, if you're in or interested in any sort of management or position of leadership... I highly recommend it.

Other good books:

- Altered Carbon by Richard K. Morgan. Some really cool scifi/cyberpunk stuff
- Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman. Neil Gaimin is a master of dark modern fairy tales. The audio book is particularly good because the narrator is amazing.

If you're looking for a legit source of downloadable audio books, try http://www.audible.com. I pay a flat fee and get two per month. I listen to them on my iPod all the time.

I'll check those out...

I saw your post in another thread about audible.com... the only problem is I don't listen to them often enough (pretty much only on road trips) to have that be a good deal for me.

and for 149 for all 12 books at once... I could easily find more than 12 audiobooks on cd at barns and nobles... maybe not new best sellers... but some good ones none the less...

I have "Will you 10 black guys with your big dicks please bang my fat white hairy wife volume 36" on audio. Great for rides with the family.

Into the Wild would be cool. As long as you don't try and go on his Alaskan adventure. Well more than you are on already.

Just a thought. But The Who's album "Tommy" was sort of a Rock Opera that tells a story. Kick ass music and a story in the album. FUCKING RAGE LEVEL AT 100%!!!

I've already read/listedn to into the wild... watched the movie again yesterday... they're really hard to compare... in the movie you see it from Chris's POV...

the book is from a reporter who is try'n to track down chris's path... both are good... but honestly... they're like two different stories completely.

Stephen King's Dark Tower books. The first three are masterpieces, while four takes a slight detour but is still excellent. They start falling apart a bit afterwards (this was about the time where he got hit by a van) but the overall story is amazing. But if nothing else, The Gunslinger is fucking pure gold.
