Max with his cast. He had knee surgery a week ago Thursday.
Wednesday he got it off and this Thursday he gets his stitches out (along with 2 broken teeth, which had just been clean 6 weeks ago). So his full name has been changed from Maxwell to Maximilian (as in "max-million") because he is my million dollar puppy dog.

Oh, this is knee surgery #2, the right leg was done last year around this time.

nah he usually rolls over to demand belly scritches. the big thing with max is hes a jumper (can hit window ledges at 6ft) and seems to understand how doors and drawers work. makes it a bit hard hiding stuff

He wasn't very happy when he first came home. Now he hates it because he has to wear the "lamp shade" so he doesn't lick at his stitches.

He tore his ACL and meniscus in his right knee last year and all we know that he did was jump off the bed. I'm sure it was a combination of things though over the years. The vets say when one goes the other will to within 6 months to 1 year, which it did. It doesn't help that he is older, 11½ years old but it could happen to one much younger. It is not limited to one breed or another either.

Wow, thats terrible. I'm sure its hell for a dog. My wife tore both of her ACL's...I know it sucked for her. Damn.
