I like how people think that instead of eating the huge bacon burger, they will eat at subway, BUTTTTT the eat just as much as they would at the burger joint so it just cancels out.

Eat less. Move more.

This shows my point about people trying to eat "healthy"

They visited my parents house monday, and according to my mom the kid ate more than either of my parents did, and my father can eat.
That is horrible

I remember something similar one day when we went to McDonalds. Not a common thing for us and we usually share french fries with our meal if we do. But I was shocked to see kids eating Big Mac's. Little kids. We got a happy meal on special occasions when we were little.. and we had to share a damm orange pop. We never got our own.

Child obesity is an important issue for me as I'm about to have my first one. I thought I was a little barrel until I hit some growth spurts even though I drove my bike everywhere as a kid, played outside all day and swam on swim teams year round.

I see pics of me as a kid and there was nothing wrong with me... It's funny how body image can be shaped so young in a kids mind. And it's not like my parents mistreated us or told us we were fat. I had a stick for a twin sister and would compare myself to her...

Anyway... My husband and I don't want our children to be unhealthy. We both will be good roll models I believe as we are both active and not overweight. We eat healthy and rarely have crap in the house.

But I dont want my kids to have a bad body image if they are a little pudgy.

I want them to be healthy. I am afraid of any little girl I have growing up into a young lady at 15 with huge boobs (as they all see to have). I might have to start buying all organic stuff.

I'm worried about cardiac disease and type 2 diabetes. This generation of kids will be the first to die younger/have shorter life expectancy.

you know you're from the south when you refer to a shopping cart as a "buggy"

But on the flip... you also dont want your girl to have no boobs either. Big boobs can get you places... sorry to say but not sorry to watch.
