Thats not nice.

Most of our nurses put the folleys in, I always get stuck withthe old guys witha prostate the size of a watermellon who cant pee. Those are a PITA to put in. Still want to do my first supra pubic catheter placement.

I have only attempted 2 so far. I think the both of them had prostate issues too. One guy was practically dead, I was putting in it between someone else giving chest compressions, shocks and amiodorone/epi. I had to get help with both shoving it in but they had a hard time too so I didn't feel that bad. Its hard to remain sterile with a wiggling penis, and gloves that are too big and lube squishing about.
