I don't like Fox News... O'Reilly amuses me from time to time...

You may say you don't like them, but you use the very same tactics.

"[ Q ] What do you have your guys eating? I am assuming they don't become overweight from eating too much protein.

My guys usually don't have any problems because I have them eating pretty clean. They eat carbohydrates like yams, brown rice, small red-skinned potatoes and oatmeal. The bodybuilding lifestyle is all based on that, but I try to take it to another level.

For example, the biggest trick I teach, which is a trade secret within bodybuilding, is before a contest (to make weight) or show, have your fighter sit in a hot bath - the hottest water they can handle - with approximately one gallon of Epsom Salt and five to eight bottles of Winter Green rubbing alcohol, (which is pored on the body).

They lay in there and it sucks out all the subcutaneous water, while allowing the body to retain its intramuscular water. For bodybuilding purposes, if you sit in that for 30 to 45 minutes, pad dry it off, and go straight to sleep. When you wake up in the morning you will be shredded."

Anyway, eating healthy is pretty common sense, but I was looking for some solid advice on making those last two lower abs pop through. Aside from the general common sense nutrition stuff (don't drink sodas, etc.) there was great, GREAT debate on every forum or comment section I read. Carbs are the devil, carbs are the bomb...can't survive without 'em, eat lots of fruit, don't eat any fruit, blah blah blah...and so on.

Then I realized that pretty much every subject is like this from religion to politics to the environment and that we just don't know shit....but man, we sure do get an A+ for pretending we do!
I would start with one goal at a time... Make weight for you're fight, then figure out how to manipulate your diet so you can drop more bodyfat. Also low abdominal exercises will help your lower abs stand out.

I'm 6' tall dude, if I make 145lbs my lower abs will be very visible.

That's pretty skinny, however being skinny and being lean can be 2 different things. I was 6' 166lbs for a bodybuilding contest, the leanest I've ever been in my life and my lower abs weren't popping yet.

Muscular development as well as a LOW bodyfat will bring them out.

I feel pretty strong for my size, I routinely tap guys with 50-60lb weight advantages over me, so I wouldn't say I'm skinny. Really, I grew up on sodas and have a bunch of unhealthy belly fat that is sticking around because its been there for so long. Everything above the bellybutton is veiny and muscular. And that's what has been so frustrating.

I have a smallish frame...kinda built like an alien. Size small in a Shoei helmet, but XXXL in most gloves. But if you look at boxers and MMA fighters 6' and 145lb fighting weight isn't too uncommon. My last competition was at 167lbs, and I was 186 when I started training hard in January. I definitely like being lighter, much, much more energy and stamina for martial arts, and just in general.

I honestly don't know anything about this stuff, but I've read that the hot bath, epsom salt, rubbing alcohol thing is dangerous... Don't know, not sure, but it's worth researching.
