I'm scheduled to mobilize in June right now. As far as going to Vegas.. Don't know... chances are probably not. I have a lot of training and travel between now and June, so unless we can find a long weekend somewhere between now and May..

How about you make a trip out to Austin?

naw I'm stay'n in... I'll be in Mississippi for the next 4 years doing MTL... it's like a Drill Instructor on decaf at our technical schools.. actually... it's more like a glorified babysitter... but hey... I get to ride year round

I imagine that's akin to either our MOS school instructors or SGL (small group leader) that we have in our NCO courses. SGL sounds more like it because while there is some instruction involved, there's quite a bit of babysitting too. Instructors (of which I am one

) only have to deal with the students during classroom time, and then we set 'em loose.

As long as they're in class by 8am.. we don't give a fuck what they do on their off time.

you know i was really thinking about that today. I finally have vaca days allotted to me and i am in desperate need of at least a weekend getaway. I am taking days off in a couple of weeks for my friend when she comes to town so after that i would be free to travel.

I was thinking austin wasn't too far and i can come down and see you and tracy and moira.

the last time i went away for the weekend was half a year ago, i went with my friend who dragged me to some dumb bar to hang with her frat boy friends and i wanted to stab myself and after she got pissed drunk and spilled her drink down my leg i wanted to punch her too! Only highlight was i got to hang out with homeslice and xshanex for a few hours.

actually one of the bar tenders at chilli's is a flight attendant on Korean Air... she called and found someone she knows who's the attendant on my flight... FREE DRINKS and possibly an upgrade to first class from Japan to Seattle.
