and anyone caught eating a cheeseburger while more then 10 lbs overweight should automatically pay more for health insurance. i don't feel like paying for their heart attack that they know is coming.

i normally wear my helmet 98% of the time so it wouldn't bother me either way, I just hate the whole "they should pay more for ins then me" thing. everyone has risks that could cost money from a medical standpoint and everyone takes chances that increase their risk at some point.

Depending on how they got their health coverage and the degree of medical underwriting, they probably do

I'll bet you like those insurance discounts for things like auto safety features and such - apply the same principle here.

i see the justification of it, I just don't agree with it. I am basically anti insurance anyways though. LOL

I do agree with Fla ins that lets you go without a helmet if you choose to take medical coverage on your policy. yes you're paying more but entirely your choice.

If your car has airbags, or anti-theft devices, you can get discounts.

Wear a helmet? Get a discount.

Don't wear one? Pay more.

Simple. Works just like insurance does already.
