Reminds me of a time leaving a Phillies game. Except it was all guys...And the one guy was ramming this dudes head in between the door like a bowling pin. I ran over to four Police officers Literally sitting 20ft away from the whole thing and they didnt even react with intent to do anything.

People dont help during these situations...They stand there and watch.

Neutralizing the situation is... and that's what he did... Once the guy was on the ground, I didn't see him getting beat up... same with the chick... Once no longer posing a threat, the force was discontinued... It wasn't a Rodney King situation, seems pretty simple to me.

Agreed...but he wasn't JUST standing there. He caused maybe $2k worth of damage to the car....I would assume not HIS car, so he committed a crime. At that point he was restrained for booking. Officers didnt' know if he was ON something, involved in the fight, or just outta his mind.

He wasn't restrained though. He was hit and then put on the ground and left there.

I'm not saying the two civilians were right, not by any means. I'm just saying from my point of view, the police officer did not need to baton either of them. And he definitely did not need to pepperspray her.

Does he just stand there for an hour and try to reason with them? Cop says get on the ground, and you don't, WTF is he supposed to do? Sing you a lullaby and hope you'll fall asleep?

Remember that youtube vid of the black kid fucking up his backflip during karate lesson? He gets up and tries to act like it didn't happen, swinging his numchucks around like a windmill. That's what this cop reminds me of

The old "put your fingers in your ears and yell LALALALALALALALA I can't hear you!!!!" rebuttal....

Not the most gracious way to admit defeat in a debate....but...whatever blows your hair back, I guess.

I can't say I disagree with that comparison...

Actually, I didn't notice... most times I don't even pay attention to who is saying what, more just what they are saying. I appreciate you acknowledgement of defeat either way...
