And who said it had to be the same day? I know PM said it in his comment, but it doesn't have to be the same day, just has to be the same month.

And I agree that it really doesn't matter as long as the kid is raised right. This guy has been there since day one and is "daddy" to that little girl. But there are going to be some seriously hurt feelings when that little girl grows up to be a teenager and starts rebelling and saying shit like, "you're not even my daddy! You let mom lie to you all these years and didn't even have the balls to call her on it!"

You want something fucked up? Texas family code, even if you aren't the biological father and were kept in the dark, if you are named on the birth certificate and live as the child's father you are obligated to pay child support.

Ouch.

I think it's great they are a family. Who is to say he doesn't already know and made peace with it? We all know DNA isn't what makes a REAL father...
