HD-DVD "lost" because Sony padded their numbers by counting every PS3 as a Blu-Ray player. Had that not been done, the difference in the number of players sold would not have been as dramatic, and the studios would not have dropped HD-DVD so quickly.

It may not be the only reason but I think it had a large part to do with it.

Me to ...but comes out every winter to re-cap some MotoGP/500 reviews i have on VHS.....I really need to get those things transferred over to DVD.
