I saw the Nicky version 848 at Laguna and the pictures don't do the bike justice. It is truly a beautiful paint scheme, fitting for an incredible rider. To bad it's on a duc.

And you wonder why they wouldn't let you in the Repsol tent, sporting that Ducati shirt.

Ben Spies is a great WSBK rider and I cheer for him during WSBK races. When he win some shit in MotoGP then I'll cheer for him in MotoGP too.

I dont even dislike Hayden, so im not even biased. He seems like a good kid. Bit of a redneck, but so am I. But people dont wanna swallow their pride and admit his career has been far less than stellar. Damn near 100 races on the best equipment in the world, and 3 wins with a handful of podiums. Biaggi was 10x the racer Hayden is (he's old now), with far more wins, and people questioned his talent. Giberneau won regularly on different equipment, and people question his ability. bayliss won on a wildcard at the last race of a season, and people bitched about him when he rode for Duc in Motogp. Pedrobot is apparently a no talent loser, yet his career has been far more successful than nicky's But haydenpoo can do no wrong. It just puzzles me a little. And Nicky whines as much as any of them! But Hayden has shown that he's good at rding around at the back of the pack, and you guys grovel at the mention of his name. Puzzling... |

So because Nicky is fan friendly he deserves a replica edition? I don't give a shit what he does off the track. On the track he isn't that good compared to the rest of the field. When he start performing as well as Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Stoner, Rossi, or even Divizioso, then I'll buy the idea of a replica. It is Duc's chance to cash in on his fame though.

Maybe they're just trying to get more Americans to buy Ducati and thought this would appeal to us ?
His first year on the bike and he's not doing so great so it does suprise me that they would be doing a replica in his name. |
