As others have stated this isn't true if you believe Habitat's statements. They are a Christian organization but neither their supporters nor their beneficiaries are required to go along with it. I can't say it would bother me too much if they did have that requirement either since whatever they are doing seems to be working.

I agree that they don't have that requirement, that they are effective, and I donate to them on occasion. I also tend to think that if they had such requirements, then they would be somewhat less..... Christian.

As others have stated and cleared up.....I wasn't aware. Maybe if they were like that before and aren't now...I don't know. Good to know though.

I wouldn't speculate on that. What I will speculate on is having such a requirement would alienate a lot of potential donors of both time and money making them somewhat less effective.
