It's crazy how much you can improve things, the best quad I got was 2000 something, stock phone was 500. That was from 998 to 12xx mhz.

Can't really prove it but I think it makes the battery last longer between charges too.

Depending on your phone, ATK and other task killers create more problems than they solve. They tend towards closing down everything connected to an app that's running, including shit that the phone needs for other services. Task Killers are bad news on any of the latest phones.

I personally had problems with ATK...Besides, I believe that HTC Sense/US Cellular version takes care of that because I never have anything running in the background anymore...

If that had an EQ built in, etc I'd probably use it. Seems like a cool app. I just want an equalizer built in.

You might not have much or not see it, but I have the same phone and when I had stock Sense and 2.1 it was crazy slow with all kinds of shit running. You need to upgrade to Cyanogenmod 6.1.1 with vork kernel and cmtd, it will give you about 287mb of internal space for apps, the ability to transfer apps to sd, multiply benchmark/daily performance 3-4x and increase battery.

Try DLing systempanel it will show you just about everything that's running. BTW there's a Gingerbread (Android 2.3) rom out already for our phones for testing on CM. It's not meant for daily use, but I thought it was pretty cool. Especially since US Cell hasn't even released 2.2 yet. When The N1 gets a 2.3 OTA we will probably have a daily usable rom within days.

Now that's a handy app! Yea I was at about 6% cpu use, like I said I don't have a lot running. When I had the N1, Amazon, Photobucket, Mixzing, etc were always running, now everything is calm.
