My dog is a pile roller....he doesn't eat the nasty stuff....he flops in it and does a full body wiggle...we were out running in the country once and he discovered a fresh pile of deer shit and promptly body flopped into it...smeared it down his sides...all over his neck...it was even in his ears.
Nasty bastard...why do dogs do that?! Oh...and don't get me started on the dumpster diving he used to do (before we got the trash cans with the foot opened, recessed lids) in a house I share with two girls. *puke puke puke* |

My little princess like to find dead earth worms and frogs and roll in them, but not poop. It drives me insane tho, I swear she does it after being freshly bathed...
I may have new pics of a recent addition up today... |

I think all dogs do that if you use perfumed shampoo. Ours did it until we changed shampoo brands. Now they just do the death roll on their bed after their bath.

yep mine slide all over our carpet trying to get rid of that "nasty" just cleaned smell. they have two favorite sleeping blankets that they roll around on as well. funny to watch them slide their face then their body around trying to get their smell back.

She also goes nuts running around the room, in full tuck and in full pug speed and she tries to tear up the couch pillows. |

Soooo, as I am sure most of you have gathered by now, I am a huge bleeding heart for hard cases and I LOVE animals.
Couple weeks ago the hubby and I were camping down in Ocala Natl Forest, an ATV weekend, and we found this guy, ribs all poking out, bald in places, hip bones ready to pop out of his skin, and me being me, I started feeding him, made a few calls, and ended up homing him with with some people we know. I just couldnt leave him out there starving to death. He's a pretty interesting fellow, one helluva cooler thief (we thought he was a bear stealing into our cooler.) Very docile, at least he was when starving, trained and overall seems like a great dog. He didnt work out with the folks we homed him with, and since the hubby and I were both taken with him, he's back at our place. We found his owner, she doesnt want him, lived not far from where he was starving to death, I'm sure theres more to the story, but this is apparently his third home, and we are hoping to keep him so long as he works out. Booger is about 75 pounds or so and gets to around 95 when well fed. This is him visiting me at the office yesterday. How can you resist this face? This is him guarding our camp... |
