I got off work at 5am & haven't went to bed yet. I was supposed to run a few errands but was tired, so I just rode the bike to the bank, then to the store. But it was so pretty & nice, I decided to take a longer way home. Over all, I rode almost a tank of gas out & didn't get one thing accomplished. I didn't even ride by a post office. But that's ok....I didn't bring Eric's movie with me. Oops. My bad, Eric!

I'm an assistant supervisor/licensed operator at a central station. In other words, I monitor security & fire systems for residential & commerial, both required/UL & non required. Working nights isn't bad. Most times it's slow but 3rd shift also gets more actual break ins & fires than 1st & 2nd combined. I get to dispatch & when I'm lucky enough, I get to watch them take the thieves/would be thieves down on camera.

Sounds cool. Being night shift you probably don't have to deal with Bankers that forget their entrance codes

Worse. Try giggly managers of some popular chains stores. I HATE supervised openings/closings!

Giggly managers. Thats a good one. Still would be cool to get to monitor the cameras. Bet you get to see some weird stuff. I never giggle when I have to give the all clear code. Means some teller has pulled a bait trap or triggered the desk alarm doing something stupid...

Is the all clear code telling a caller you don't need any rolls of film? Or something just as stupid?

Giggly mangers are the little girls or gay guys that manage the retail chains we monitor. We also have a few car lots we monitor through cameras. I've seen some funny shit on those cameras! I've been there for over a year & I still giggle when I dispatch the PD & get to watch them swarm the lots! Kneel suckers! You did my bidding! The best one is when one of my co-workers dispatched on a balloon!!!

We have accounts in 48 states & 2 or 3 provinces in Canada. IMHO, the worse police departments (as far as responding) are those in NYC. I HATE dispatching to any of them.

Our all clear is numeric. We have a code for robbery though...

Yes Ms. Smith we have 2 deposits (robbers) or 3 deposits (3 robbers). The local LEOs know us all well so it wouldn't take but an inflection in our voice to give it away though.

Good luck watching our cams though...They are 80 years old and have zero clarity. Besides if I knew someone was watching I would probably be mooning them!
