hmmm...maybe but you may be forgetting the PM aspect of our forum and the fact that some people have already "rallied the troops" to win in the past without there being a prize involved... I think that it's great that you want to take over the POTM deal and considering that you are easily one of the fairest people that I know, I'm sure that you'll do your best. If you want my honest opinion, you need to stop proposing and brainstorming and just go with your idea and modify things as the situation merits. You know, get the base idea rolling and tweak it if necessary. I'd hate to see you blow a bunch of time here and then have it go on as before and be a waste of time for you.

BTW Nick has stated that he doesn't need money to run the site and membership money would go to contests.

Just put up a donate button, if you throw $5 every now and then, it makes things easier for Trip and he can put up a prize or giftcard every so often.

Maybe make it green when there is plenty of funds and red when you need to bring up the balance. Put it up next to all the other button under the Two Wheel Fix logo.

Pirates of the Caribbean style voting. Only the entries can vote and they can vote for themselves. If everyone votes for themselves, we eliminate the last entry and redo the vote. So basically the last person who entered would be under the gun to vote for someone other than own or be eliminated.

I'd likely just toss a couple of bucks into the pot, to help defray costs. As to draws and prizes if it isn't The Powerball, then I can do without it. Where POTM/Q/Y is concerned I don't really care if I win anything. It's just a matter of seeing how I do, if I have something that I think is worth sharing.

A problem I think exist is people will think that someone is making money off of them. I'm sure a lot of people don't pay or donate to forums because of this.

If someone puts the time, effort, and money into setting up a forum then maybe they deserve a little payback for it. I'd rather toss a little money someone's way than help fatten some big conglomerate.

for one... no one is gonna get rich... it'd be to apparent that the $ going in isn't being returned.

but yeah I don't see why a little extra can't land in Trip's pocket... he's covered all the fee's for the life of this forum. honestly... I think we owe him.

I'm fine with a donation based idea, only I think it'd die out after the initial donations... I was thinking of something a little more consistent to be reliable for Trip to count on to fun shirts/stickers for give aways and rewards...

Why does there have to be awards and give aways? If somebody wants a TWF t-shirt, somebody put the effort in to get em printed up and take orders. If somebody wants a sticker, buy it from Trip...
